What to do to Prevent Bicycle Theft:
Don't be one of the nearly 10,000 victims of bike theft in Victoria each year! Four easy steps to Bicycle Security
1. Use a good quality lock
Anything other than a U-Lock is easily broken by theives. We stock a full range of quality u-locks.
2. Lock your bicycle properly
Lock your bike to a SOLID object and one it can't be lifted over (eg a pole) and in a public, well-lit area
3. Be able to identify your bicycle
See us about engraving your driver's license number on the frame, and keep a record of the bike's serial number (on the bottom bracket of the bike), and a photo of the bike
4. Insure your bicycle
The most cost-effective means of insurance is through a home contents insurance policy. Some companies also offer specific bicycle insurance that covers accidental breakage, even during racing etc.
